Michael Meechin is known to be a disruptor of the status quo, building a culture of no excuses in the schools and communities that he works in. Michael is an award-winning principal, being selected as the 2019 State of Florida’s Innovative Principal of the Year and 2021 School District of Osceola County Principal of the Year.

Mr. Meechin works as a high school principal, educational strategist, and keynote speaker. Michael speaks, writes, and advocates on topics that include building teachers up, school culture restoration, edu reform, effective school leadership, and high impact instruction.

Mike has worked with schools and districts across the United States and Canada.

Meechin is a proud product of a diverse public educational system. He has spent the majority of his career in at-risk schools with underserved populations. Mike has held a variety of positions from classroom teacher to principal. His breadth of knowledge and experience make him an asset to schools and districts looking for support to improve practice, culture and organizational motivation.

Michael serves a fellow on the Florida Department of Education’s Commissioner Leadership Academy.

Michael resides in Central Florida with his wife Angela, an elementary school teacher, and their children Kennedy and Jack.
